Tramlines 2012

I am really excited to be one of the official photographers again at Tramlines this weekend.  Tramlines is a huge free music festival in the centre of Sheffield which attracted 155,000 people in 2011. Being a photographer last year was a blast and one of the highlights of my year and I’m sure this year will be just as amazing.

Even if I wasn’t one of the photographers I would be heading there this weekend because of one reason, the whole festival is FREE!  So it is a really cheap night out (unfortunately the beer isn’t free though!).  So if you are in Sheffield do pop into town and see from great free live music!

Not only am I really looking forward to seeing and photographing some amazing bands I was thrilled earlier this year when Tramlines contacted me about using some of my photos from last year in the advertising for this year.  I spotted last week this advert that used my photo of Ms. Dynamite (apologies for the rubbish mobile phone photos):

I even got a credit which was great:

This is the original photo of Ms. Dynamite that they used taken at the Toddla T bash at the Octagon last year:

There may well be some other photos of mine used in other adverts, as they asked to use more than the Ms. Dynamite photo, but this is the only one I have spotted so far.

As well as using my photos for billboard adverts Tramlines are also using two of my photos on the front page of their website.  My photos are part of a selection of 5 photos that appear behind the line up list on the front page, see this grab of the page when my photo of the amazing Steve Edwards is being used:

You might have to refresh the page a few times to see the photo as the 5 photos appear at random when you load the page.
