Tramlines-Saturday part 1!

Well, still at Tramlines and still, mostly, having a ball.  Unlike yesterday, when I was reasonably free to choose the bands I saw, today I am on assignment for Tramlines Times (the free Tramlines newspaper published each day of the festival) and have to shoot 2 bands specifically.  I’ve shot one (who were “interesting” lets say!) and I’m off to shoot the other in a bit.

But I have been able to see some bands of my own choice and one I did see, and enjoyed immensely, was Yabba Funk, on the World Music Stage.  They are an Afro-beat Funk band from Brixton and, even though that is not normally my thing, they were superb – especially the two vocalists who both were superb and had great stage presence.  Here are my shots from their set:

There was this really cute kid on her Dad’s shoulders enjoying the gig so I took a sneaky shot of her:

That’s your lot for now, more later.  Off to shoot The Lost Brothers at the Cathedral!
