Greno Chase 2010

Last night was the annual Greno Chase in Grenoside.  This a race around the village and it tightly contested by local runners. It was a great event and I was out with my camera to capture the athletes in action.

A couple of people were running for a fantastic cause, to raise money for local lad Jamie Keeling.  Jamie is 2 years old and suffers from Menkes Disease, a very rare condition.  His parents are trying to raise £20K to modify their house to make it easier to care for him at home.  The local vicar, Martin Kilner, and Jamie’s dad, Adrian, both ran the race to raise money and awareness.  You can donate money to the cause if you wish by making a donation on Jamie’s website.
