Another competition winner

Thought I'd blow my own trumpet again -- insert Kenneth Williams style gag here -- by blogging about another photo competition that I've won. I entered the photo above to the Sheffield flickr Group's weekly photo competition the week before Christmas and it won. The theme was "motion/movement" and despite lots of excellent photos being entered by other Sheffield togs my photo got the most votes. .

The photo is a long exposure photo of a funfair ride taken back in March 2007 at a funfair that set up opposite the Sheffield Wednesday ground. The ride I took the photo of looked pretty vomit inducing to me so I was glad that I was on the ground taking a photo rather than riding.

The prize for winning the photo was choose the theme for the following week. I chose "feast" for the theme and entered this seasonal shot:
