Good news. Well for me anyway. A replacement 50mm f/1.8 lens arrived today in the post. And this is the good news - it focusses properly. As you can see from this portrait I focussed the lens on the handsome chap's eye and by jingo the lens did it's job. Some might argue that the portrait would be better if the eye - and the face - were out of focus but I am pleased that I finally have a low light lens again.
