www.simonbutlerphotography.com has had a makeover. Check it out and prepare to be amazed. OK, well not amazed perhaps, but at least take a look anyay...
The old site was incompatible with an upgrade at my webhosting company - PHP v5 whatever that is - so I had to change it. The old version was put together using some free plugins for Lightroom called Lightroom Galleries. These were great mainly because of their cost but also because the resulting website they generated looked very profressional and as if it had been put together by a web designer rather than a bloke who didn't really know what he was doing.
Anyway, I've managed to find some other plugins for Lightroom that do an even better job. These are The Turning Gate plugins and the good news is that they cost £0.00 as well. They are the brainchild of Matthew Campagna, a clever bloke from Seoul and he has done a fantastic job with them. And again a bloke who doesn't really know what he's doing has managed to create a professional looking site. Hopefully this one will still work when my webhost updates their server next...
