I have decided to be a bit braver than usual and ask complete strangers if I could take their portrait. So I headed off to the University Union which is close to where I work and I asked various people if they would let me and to my surprise each one said yes. I just happened to like this one the best; the young lady is particularly striking and I like how she didn't change her expression at all while she posed.
Hopefully I'll be able to complete the task and by October 31 you will see 31 photos on my blog and on my flickr stream, one for each day. Perhaps each one will be a portrait of a stranger but I don't want to limit myself to just that one theme. I will probably take more than one photo on most days so I will also post the near misses too, just like this one of another student I took 5 minutes earlier:

Looking forward to seeing how this progresses Simon. I would have joined in but editing photos on a 10.1 inch laptop screen is no fun at all. Damn robbers and slow insurance!!
