I'll have an "A" please Bob!

Old man, originally uploaded by electrolyte2006.

Got my A Level result today and amazingly I got an A! I am really chuffed. Especially as when i last got A-Level results 18 years ago, I didn't do quite so well, only getting CDE from chemistry, physics and maths.

I got a breakdown of how I did in each part of the course and I also couldn't believe how well I did for each part.

In the "Specialist Photography Project" I got 90/90 ie 100%! For this project I took photos of people from Grenoside including the one at the top of this post.

In the "Controlled Test", which is what they call the exam, I also got 100%, this time 120 marks out of a possible 120. For this project I took "repetition" photos like these:

All together now...

royal repetition

I didn't do quite so well in the "Personal Study", which was an essay, where I only got 83 marks out a possible 90 which is a pretty poor 92%. I must admit I didn't spend as long on the essay as the other two projects so it's not surprising that I did so poorly. My essay was on Henri Cartier-Bresson after I went to an exhibition of his work at The National Media Museum in Bradford:

Henri Cartier-Bresson

So all in all I'm very happy!

  2. Congratulations!

Judging by the photos that you've posted here, an A grade is well deserved.
