Got my A Level result today and amazingly I got an A! I am really chuffed. Especially as when i last got A-Level results 18 years ago, I didn't do quite so well, only getting CDE from chemistry, physics and maths.
I got a breakdown of how I did in each part of the course and I also couldn't believe how well I did for each part.
In the "Specialist Photography Project" I got 90/90 ie 100%! For this project I took photos of people from Grenoside including the one at the top of this post.
In the "Controlled Test", which is what they call the exam, I also got 100%, this time 120 marks out of a possible 120. For this project I took "repetition" photos like these:
I didn't do quite so well in the "Personal Study", which was an essay, where I only got 83 marks out a possible 90 which is a pretty poor 92%. I must admit I didn't spend as long on the essay as the other two projects so it's not surprising that I did so poorly. My essay was on Henri Cartier-Bresson after I went to an exhibition of his work at The National Media Museum in Bradford:
So all in all I'm very happy!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteJudging by the photos that you've posted here, an A grade is well deserved.
They really are giving them away now aren't they!... Seriously though, congratulations Simon, I'm well chuffed for you
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of the National Media Museum (and the Henri Cartier-Breeson exhibtion) - congratulations!
